I have been involved in volleyball for more than 15 years as a player and coach and was one of the founders of IPVA in 1999.

Arlie Brandmeyer

Arlie has been involved in volleyball for more than 24 years.  It all started with a love of playing the game and continues with coaching the last 13 years.  Volleyball has brought many great experiences from college club, USA Volleyball, sand, grass and even the old Graceland adult camps.  Also, Arlie was one of the founders of IPVA in 1999.

 

IPVA Accomplishments

Five trips to USAV Nationals with three 11th place finishes

Three Iowa Regional Championships and one 2nd Place finish

Two 3rd place finishes at the Crossroads Qualifier

 

Arlie has also been a coach for both college and high school camps and an instructor for private lessons. In his experience Arlie has developed many contacts with college coaches and been fortunate to see many players move on to the college level.



Jim Sixta

Jim Sixta is in his 3rd season as the Assistant Volleyball Coach for SE Polk High School and is the Club Director of the Rams Volleyball Club. He helps run, organize, and participate in various junior camps locally and across the state as well as being involved with Iowa Juniors Beach Volleyball, and is a Board member of Iowa Region Volleyball. Sixta is CAP II certified and continually attends USAV, College, and High School clinics and camps to keep current on trends in volleyball. In addition, he is a certified referee and has played volleyball at almost every position and level in Iowa for the past 18 years. In his spare time he enjoys sand doubles in the summer, and 6s and/or 4s during the rest of the year as well as line judging and refereeing area college matches. He is First Aid and CPR certified and a mandatory reporter.

Joe Lynch

Joe Lynch is in his third season as an assistant coach at Iowa State, helping lead the Cyclones to their 1st NCAA tournament since 1995.  Before that he spent 14 years as a high school and club coach in Wisconsin.  At Milwaukee Sting Volleyball Club, Lynch led the 16 Gold team to the USAV National Championship in 2004.  In addition to that championship, Lynch has won 2 silver medals and 3 bronze medals with Sting.  At Wauwatosa East High School, Lynch coached the Raiders to 2 State titles, four 2nd place finishes, and eight conference championships.
